90% of the worlds Saffron is grown in Iran - how would it fare having travelled to Worksop?
We indulged ourselves in the Grafton Hotel, which had a number of fine real ales on tap. Prices had increased by roughly 10% since our last visit in November 2014. The Don Jon had increased from £2.10 to £2.30. Many of the beers were marked up at £2.60, with the "Beast" being marked up at £3 a pint. We all thought the Onion Bhaji's (3/5) were ok, but lacking in spice… as ever! The Lamb Dopiaza (3/5) and the Chicken Methi (3/5) were ok, run of the mill dishes. Portion sizes were a little stingy.Naans were good but a tad small. The restaurant had filled by the time we were ready to leave - not because of gastronomic excellence… more likely because there is little competition in Worksop. On our one shot flyby, my impression is that you'll get a so so curry here. I can't see us making the 36 mile round trip in the near future!
